Workers’ Compensation
When an employee is injured at work or suffers an occupational disease relating to the work environment, the only available remedy for that person, in many instances, is the entitlement to workers’ compensation benefits. The workers’ compensation systems of Pennsylvania and New Jersey differ greatly in terms of procedure and benefits available. Our Workers’ Compensation Group has extensive experience in handling compensation claims and is thoroughly familiar with the differences between the respective systems. Our attorneys have a strong working knowledge regarding the array of complex legal issues that may arise and they strive to keep up to date on the frequent amendments to the workers’ compensation statutes and regulations, which often result in significant changes to an attorney’s practice in the workers’ compensation courts.
We regularly handle the prosecution and defense of workplace injury claims under Pennsylvania and New Jersey state law. Furthermore, we have many years of experience in representing employers in federal Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act cases. Members of our Workers’ Compensation Group have presented seminars regarding the LHWCA and have authored a text regarding the handling of workplace injuries under the Act. For over 30 years, we have been recognized in the workers’ compensation field as being ardent advocates for our clients, and we look forward to providing continued dedicated service when called upon.
