PETER J. YOON
Drexel University - 1994 (B.S. in Civil Engineering) Temple University School of Law - 1994 Peter’s practice is in the areas of environmental law, environmental litigation and general litigation. Prior to joining Mattioni, Ltd., Peter was an attorney for a large Philadelphia law firm where he counseled clients in regulatory compliance and environmental permitting issues arising from business and real estate transactions. Peter was also an Assistant Counsel for 14 years at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, Office of Chief Counsel. While at the Department, Peter was the primary Air Quality attorney for the Southeastern Regional Office and was the primary Water Quality attorney for the Erosion and Sedimentation Control Program. He was the primary attorney for the four County Conservation Districts around the Philadelphia area. Peter also prosecuted civil and criminal environmental enforcement actions in a variety of program areas such as Solid Waste, Storage Tanks, Wetlands Encroachment, Stormwater Control, and NPDES Permitting. Peter has considerable litigation experience involving many Federal and Pennsylvania environmental statutes, including the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, the Air Pollution Control Act, and the Clean Streams Law. He has litigated cases before the Pennsylvania Environmental Hearing Board (EHB), prosecuted summary offenses in the Magisterial District Courts, and conducted hearings before the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania. He has also presented oral argument before Pennsylvania’s appellate court as a result of EHB appeals. Peter serves as the Solicitor for the Friends of Wissahickon and a volunteer for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Red Cross. |
