George’s practice is concentrated in admiralty and maritime, insurance, and transportation law. He handles matters involving maritime casualties, cargo damage, personal injury and death claims, marine salvage claims, and all aspects of recreational vessel claims. Mr. Zacharkow also handles first party insurance disputes, air and motor carrier matters, and non-marine recovery claims involving fires, flooding/water damage, and structural failure. He oversees the firm’s subrogation group. Mr. Zacharkow represents clients in the courts of the tri-state region and in other areas of the country.

Mr. Zacharkow is an active member of the Maritime Law Association of the United States, and currently is serving as chairman of the cargo insurance subcommittee. His previous experience with an insurance adjusting company has provided a strong analytical base which complements his work in the field.
