FIRM OVERVIEW

Mattioni has been providing legal services to protect the financial, property, and personal interests of individuals and businesses for over fifty years. Founded in 1963 by Dante Mattioni, the firm quickly expanded to include his four brothers, and it has continued to grow during the ensuing years. From the outset, the firm naturally specialized in handling admiralty and maritime matters, as each of the brothers had been a professional mariner before turning to the law, and the firm remains a recognized leader in this field. The firm also developed an active practice serving the personal and commercial needs of its clients, and it now has a significant transaction and litigation practice.

Today, the firm provides counseling and litigation services in the following areas: admiralty and maritime; business law; employment, ERISA, and civil rights; environmental; estate planning, trusts, and estate administration; insurance; litigation; personal injury and toxic tort claims; land use and zoning; real estate; and LHWCA and workers’ compensation claims. This enables us not only to meet the distinct personal and business needs of our clients, but also to effectively address matters that have cross-disciplinary issues.

At Mattioni, we recognize the importance of listening and we work closely with our clients to ensure that we understand their concerns and goals. We designate a primary point of contact for each client, and we also seek to have a number of attorneys and professional staff who are familiar with each client. As appropriate, we assemble a team to provide competent and cost effective representation for the particular matter at hand. We know that in today’s world even local matters may be affected by distant forces, so we maintain a global perspective when evaluating problems and developing strategies. At Mattioni, we are dedicated to providing personal service and achieving practical solutions for our clients.
