Mr. Mattioni's practice is in the fields of admiralty and maritime law, insurance, and commercial litigation. He also represents business interests in the Internet and health care industries. He has handled numerous defense of personal injury and death claims involving seamen and other maritime workers. He has litigated many cargo cases involving various types of general and bulk cargo and commodities. Mr. Mattioni has extensive experience in handling complicated first and third-party insurance claims.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Mattioni served as a Deck Officer on various U. S. flag merchant vessels in worldwide trades. He obtained his Chief Officer's license in 1960. His shipboard experience included navigation and handling general and bulk cargoes of all types.
Mr. Mattioni has participated in numerous civic and political endeavors, served as a member of the State Board of Public Accounting, and was a teacher and lecturer in business and commercial law.
